1. Water Stewardship in the Arid Lands of Rajasthan
In the water-scarce state of Rajasthan, our focus is on “Jal Shakti” (Water Power). We have partnered with local communities to revive traditional water harvesting structures like johads and baolis. By implementing modern watershed management techniques, we have helped create and rejuvenate water reservoirs, transforming arid land into arable fields and ensuring water security for thousands of households and their livestock.
Impact Spotlight: In the Alwar district, a single project has helped increase the water table by over 4 feet, directly benefiting 15 villages.
2. Digital Literacy and IT Skilling in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar
Recognizing the immense youth potential in India’s most populous states, we have launched “Digital Pragati” centers across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. These centers are equipped with state-of-the-art computer labs and offer courses in basic digital literacy, coding, and ITeS skills. We partner with local ITIs and colleges to ensure our curriculum aligns with market needs, creating a pipeline of skilled professionals for the national and global digital economy.
Impact Spotlight: Over 10,000 young men and women have been trained and placed in entry-level IT jobs in the last two years.
3. Promoting Sustainable Agriculture in Punjab and Haryana
In the nation’s breadbasket, our mission is to champion the shift to sustainable agriculture. Through our “Krishi Uday” initiative, we educate farmers about soil health management, water-efficient drip irrigation, and organic farming practices. We provide access to high-quality inputs and facilitate market linkages, ensuring that economic prosperity for farmers goes hand-in-hand with environmental conservation.
Impact Spotlight: A pilot project with 500 farmers in Karnal led to a 15% reduction in chemical fertilizer use while maintaining yield.
4. Healthcare on the Move in the North-East
To reach remote communities in the North-Eastern states, we operate a fleet of “Arogya Vahans”—mobile medical units. These vans are equipped to provide basic healthcare services, diagnostic tests, maternal and child care, and telemedicine consultations with specialists in urban centers. This initiative has been critical in bridging the healthcare gap in geographically challenging terrain.
Impact Spotlight: Our mobile units conduct over 50,000 patient consultations annually across Assam, Manipur, and Meghalaya.
5. Empowering Artisans and Women in Gujarat and West Bengal
In states renowned for their rich textile heritage, our “Shilpa Sahyog” initiative focuses on preserving traditional crafts while ensuring economic empowerment. We work with artisan clusters in Gujarat (for Bandhani and Patola) and West Bengal (for Tant and Baluchari). We provide design innovation, access to global markets, and fair-trade practices. A key component is the formation of women-led self-help groups (SHGs), fostering financial independence and entrepreneurship.
Impact Spotlight: The initiative has boosted artisan incomes by over 40% and empowered more than 2,000 women entrepreneurs.
